Firstly, if you’re in the greater Nowra area on the 25th of August 2012, at around 2pm, I’d like to personally invite you to the launch of my debut CD “Incredible”. If you’re not in the greater Nowra area on the 25th of August, you should be!
Now that I’ve got that out of the way I can tell you about the event itself.
A couple of weeks ago I held a preview of the album for some friends at my family home, where I played some of the pre-mastered tracks from the CD, as well as playing some of the songs “live”. It was a wonderful afternoon and I received some great feedback about the music I’d written.
Over the last couple of days I’ve been talking with a number of people from my church about an official launch. Most have not even heard my music but are really excited about the event and I’m really quite overwhelmed by their support and encouragement. And while this launch is about enjoying some great new music, there’s also another opportunity to rejoice…
A number of members of our church congregation support the continuing work of Kenya Help. I was touched recently by a request that went out to the congregation of Bomaderry to financially support a group of children who had lost sponsorship and were unable to attend school. The congregation dug deep and managed to get all the children back to school and some… I wanted to do my part so, at the launch I will be having an afternoon tea with the proceeds from the afternoon tea going to Kenya Help.
So, just to reiterate, if you’re in the greater Nowra area on the 25th of August 2012, at around 2pm, I’d love to have a cup of tea with you at the launch of my debut CD “Incredible”. And if you’re not in the greater Nowra area on the 25th of August, you should be!
